The Catholic Community Foundation's grant activities mirror our mission: To support financially the spiritual, educational and social needs of the Catholic community.
During Fiscal Year 2011, the Foundation distributed $8.4 in grants. This is a 7% increase over our FY2011 grantmaking, bringing our total grant distributions since 1992 to $90 million.

Grants are made only to non-profit organizations that are defined as tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service code. While most of the gifts to the Catholic Community Foundation are designated or donor advised, a Community Priorities Fund has been established to help address the pressing needs in our community. Since 2000, grants have been made from the fund to non-profit organizations working in support of the initiatives identified by the Board.
